Shootin’ the Bull with Sean
Weekdays 6-10am
Sean Allen brings a lifetime of experience, service, and storytelling to the airwaves at C98 The Bull, proudly serving the Mountain State as part of the Hometown Media family.
Sean’s broadcasting journey includes time at WMOV, WLWF, and WRYV, where he built a reputation for connecting with listeners through music, local stories, and an authentic on-air presence.
Beyond radio, Sean served his country with distinction in the U.S. Army. His military career began in 1991, continued through 1998, and resumed in 2003 following the start of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He retired in 2018 from Fort Knox, where he was honored as the “Voice of the Command,” serving as the official narrator and emcee for numerous ceremonies on behalf of the Commanding General.
After retirement, Sean returned home to West Virginia, bringing his passion for radio, community, and service back where it belongs. Today, he’s proud to be behind the mic at C98 The Bull, 93R and WXCR, delivering great music and hometown connection every time he’s on the air.
The Mid Morning Rodeo
Weekdays 10am-12pm
After nearly four decades of controlled chaos, questionable decisions, and award-worthy
nonsense, Ric “Shadow” Shannon and Rich Lacey are still at it – and still refusing to quit.
Now holding down middays on C-98 The Bull from 10am to Noon, The Mid Day Rodeo
Radio Show is proof that you can survive the late ’80s, questionable fashion trends, and
each other – and somehow come out louder on the other side.
The duo first teamed up in the late ’80s with the legendary Wake Up and Go Morning
Show, where they launched their reign as the “crazy morning team” – pushing buttons,
pulling pranks, and probably getting called into the boss’s office more than once. After
decades of early alarms, they finally made a strategic career move (mostly because neither
of them could get up that early anymore). Thus, the Mid Day Rodeo was born – same
energy, slightly more caffeine, and a much more reasonable wake-up time.
Ric “Shadow” Shannon brings the quick wit, big personality, and just enough
unpredictability to keep the lawyers on standby. Rich Lacey balances it out with sharp
timing, dry humor, and the occasional eye roll that listeners can practically hear through
the speakers. Together, they’ve mastered the art of talking about everything and nothing
at the same time – country music, life, wild stories from back in the day, and whatever
ridiculous topic pops into their heads next.
They don’t know when to quit. They don’t know when to stop. And honestly, they wouldn’t
have it any other way.
The Mid Day Rodeo Radio Show – nearly 40 years of friendship, fun, and just enough madness to keep weekdays interesting.
Kim Stewart
Weekdays 12pm-3pm
Kim Stewart has a strong Country background. She most recently worked as the midday jock on KSCS/Dallas. She previously worked at KPLX/The Wolf in Dallas, did PM Drive at KVIL in Dallas and mornings at Majic in Austin. Before all of that, she did mornings nationally at Radio Disney and was also the midday talent for Westwood One’s 24/7 Hot AC format. Kim brings lots of energy to her show and really knows how to connect with listeners.
Linda Lou
Weekdays 3pm-6pm
I was raised in Ravenswood, the daughter of local motel owners and am a former resident of Parkersburg. I worked for C98 briefly in 1993 and also spent many years as a 911 dispatcher in Ravenswood and Ripley, WV as well as Belpre, OH. I relocated back to my hometown in 2017, where I live with my fiance and teenage son, and started working for C98 again in June 2023. I have an older son at WVU and a daughter in Tennessee. I love all types of music but especially country, and of course you already know that I am a huge Travis Tritt fan.
And the Nobel Prize Committee should have given me an award! 😛
