Official Contest Rules

Eligibility

Contest is open only to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
Employees of Hometown Media LLC, its affiliates, sponsors, advertising agencies, and their immediate family members or household members are not eligible to participate.
Individuals who have won any prize from WCEF within the past 30 days are not eligible to enter or win.
Contest is void where prohibited by law and subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

How to Enter

Listen to WCEF during designated contest periods.
When prompted, call the contest line at 304-372-9898.
The correct caller (as specified by the announcer, e.g., ‘Caller #9’) who meets eligibility requirements will be declared the winner, subject to verification.

Complete an official entry form available at participating sponsor locations.
Submit the entry form in the designated entry box at the sponsor location before the posted deadline.
One entry daily per person per contest period unless otherwise stated.

Follow instructions posted on WCEF’s official website or social media platforms.
Entries must comply with platform rules and any additional requirements stated in the contest announcement.
Duplicate or automated entries will be disqualified.

Prizes will be announced on-air, online, or at the point of entry.
No substitution or cash equivalent of prizes is permitted, except at the sole discretion of WCEF.
Winners are responsible for all applicable taxes and any costs associated with claiming or using the prize.

For phone-in contests, winners will be determined live on-air at the time of the call.
For entry-form contests, winners will be selected by random drawing from all eligible entries received by the deadline.
For online/social media contests, winners will be selected based on criteria stated in the contest announcement (e.g., random draw, creativity, etc.).
Winners will be notified by phone, email, or direct message. Failure to respond within 1 day may result in forfeiture of the prize.

By entering, participants agree to abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of WCEF, which are final and binding.
WCEF reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or violates these rules.
Participation constitutes consent to use the winner’s name, likeness, and voice for promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.

WCEF and sponsors are not responsible for technical failures, lost or misdirected entries, or any injury or damage resulting from participation in the contest or use of the prize.
